Q: Where do the profits from the car boot sale go ?
A: All profits (entrance fees and sale of refreshments) go to Grey Court School, which is a co-educational 11-16 state
    comprehensive. The organisation for the car boot sale is done on voluntary basis, arranged by the Grey Court Parents 
    Association (registered Charity number 296593). Various improvement projects are planned.
Q: I assume that as a Seller, I get to keep all the proceeds from the items I sell ?
A: That is correct.  
A: Sellers can arrive from 8am, Buyers from 9am
A: £20 for a van (or double pitch), £10 for a car, £5 if you walk-in
A: Seller entry is on a first come, first served basis. Just turn up on the day with your car, table and goods. Pay on entry.
    To date, we have not had to turn a Seller away, and if dry, can even extend the selling area onto the playing field.

    For those arriving early by car, please queue down Ham Street in the direction of the River Thames 

Q: Do you hire out tables for Sellers ?
A: Yes, there are small number of tables available for hire at a rate of £5 per pair of tables (plus a £10 returnable deposit).
     Several sellers use the light-weight, fold-up decorating tables can be purchased from DIY stores for around £10 

A: £1 before 9am, 50p after 9am. Child entrance is free  
Q: What facilities are there ?
A: Refreshments including tea, coffee, hot chocolate, bacon butties & cakes can be bought. Toilets are available

Q: Where does the boot sale actually take place at the school ?
A: The entrance to the car boot sale is in Sandy Lane. The car boot sale takes place on the main school playground, which is
    a hard surface allowing for an all weather event. There is capacity for well in excess of 100 Sellers cars.    

Q: What happens if the weather is bad ?
A: We now operate a wet weather plan for miserable days, when pitches are made available within the two main halls of the
    school for sellers to set up inside. So there's no longer any need to check the weather forecast for the Grey Court Car Boot

Q: Is there parking on site for Buyers ?
A: Priority is given to Sellers. If there is space left when all Sellers are in, we can let Buyers park at the back of the
    playground for a small extra fee. Additional local parking is available at Ham Street, in Riverside Drive and the Ham House
    car park. Please do not try to park in Sandy Lane, and we ask that you consider local residents at all times

Q: How do I get to the car boot sale by Public Transport ?
A: The 371 bus will bring you straight to the door, or alternatively the 65 bus stops at the bottom of Sandy Lane. Both the 
     371 and 65 buses stop at Richmond train/tube station and Kingston Town Centre

Q: Are there any items prohibited from sale ?
A: Pets and animals, foam-filled furniture (in accordance with fireproofing regulations), fireworks, firearms and anything that 
     Trading Standards or the Police would not be happy to see being sold

Q: Can I bring my dog/other pet with me to the Car Boot sale ?
A: No pets are allowed on the site at all
Q: Is smoking permitted ?
A: The whole of Grey Court School is a no smoking zone
